Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work securely, remember your preferences, and (if you agree) help us understand how the service is used.
2. How we ask for consent
When you first visit Test Life In The UK, you can choose Essential only (strictly necessary cookies) or Accept all (essential cookies plus optional analytics). You can change your mind at any time using the box below or Cookie settings in the site footer.
Change your cookie preferences
Opens a short dialog so you can choose Essential only or Accept all. Your choice is saved in this browser and applies immediately.
3. Essential cookies
These are required for the website to function. They include authentication and security cookies (for example when you sign in with NextAuth), cookies needed to maintain your session, and a guest session identifier if you use features without creating an account. We do not use these to profile you for marketing.
| Name / purpose | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Session & auth (e.g. NextAuth) | Keep you signed in securely |
| Guest session | Link mock test attempts for guests |
4. Optional analytics cookies
If you choose Accept all, we use first-party cookies to estimate traffic and unique visitors (for example a visitor identifier cookie used with our internal analytics). These are not used to sell your data. If you choose Essential only, we do not set these optional cookies or send optional analytics beacons.
5. Third parties
Payment processing (Stripe) and media delivery (for example Cloudinary) may set their own cookies when you interact with those features. Their use is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. How long cookies last
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Others may last for a fixed period (for example several days) as needed for their purpose. You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
7. Contact
